9 December 2024 - Namibia hosted the 20th Africa Aquatics Zone IV Swimming and Open Water Swimming Championships from 4 to 8 December 2024. 386 athletes from 15 countries competed in this, the biggest Africa Aquatics Zone IV Championships ever since its inception as the CANA Zone IV competition.
