Egyptian Diver Mohamed Farouk Impresses in Men's 3m Springboard Preliminaries at the 2024 Paris Olympics

In a display of courage, skill, and precision, Egyptian diver Mohamed Farouk delivered a commendable performance in the Men’s 3m Springboard Preliminaries at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Despite fierce competition, Farouk showcased his talent and resilience, finishing with a total score of 317.40, securing 23rd place overall.
The competition began with Farouk executing a Forward 3½ Somersaults Pike with a difficulty degree of 3.1. He started strong, earning 65.10 points and ranking 18th in the first round. His poised entry into the water set the tone for his subsequent dives.
In the second round, Farouk performed a Forward 2½ Somersaults 2 Twists Pike, with a higher difficulty degree of 3.4. Although he faced challenges, he managed to score 56.10 points, bringing his total to 121.20 and ranking him 20th overall.

Farouk’s fourth dive, a Back 2½ Somersaults Pike, also with a difficulty degree of 3.0, earned him 43.50 points, bringing his total to 199.20. He maintained his 24th position, demonstrating his perseverance in the face of tough competition.
In the fifth round, Farouk executed an Inward 3½ Somersaults Tuck with a difficulty degree of 3.4, earning an impressive 61.20 points. This dive showcased his ability to handle complex maneuvers, bringing his total score to 260.40 and ranking him 23rd.
Farouk’s final dive, a Forward 4½ Somersaults Tuck with the highest difficulty degree of 3.8, earned him 57.00 points. This strong finish brought his total to 317.40 points, securing his 23rd place overall in the preliminaries.
