Aquatic activities have not yet been allowed to start in Uganda. The conditions for restarting are first and foremost confirmation that the COVID-19 situation in Uganda is fully under control and poses no real threat to public health and safety. Secondly putting in place comprehensive get-back-to-sport standard operation procedures that ensure observance of safety standards for athletes, coaches and the general public. It is not ascertainable when the Government will lift the lockdown, but we think in September or October 2020, we might be able to restart. Regarding travel, inland travel within Uganda is not restricted, although there is a curfew that requires all inland travel to end by 7:00 pm. Travel outside Uganda is not yet possible as the International Airport is still closed. Foreign visitors are not allowed to enter the country as of yet, however this will change once the lockdown on international travel is lifted.
