On 15 December 2019 we lost Chief Olakunbo Thomas.
He passed away after a short illness.
"Chief Thomas was a member of the CANA and FINA Bureau 2000 –2012.
He was also a member of the FINA Swimming Technical Committee for several years.
At the time of his death he was a FINA Honorary Member.
During the recent FINA World Swimming Championships in Gwangju, Korea many of us did chat with Chief Thomas.
Although he mentioned he was not well; but he looked hale and hearty.
He will be dearly missed by the entire aquatic family."
We bid farewell to a FINA Honorary member and a gentle soul.
