Following the successful conclusion of the Africa Aquatics Championships in Angola Africa Aquatics will be hosting a swimming camp to prepare our athletes for the upcoming international and continental competitions. The camp will be held at the University of the Western Cape in South Africa from 1-5 July 2024.
Over sixty swimmers and fourteen coaches from sixteen countries have confirmed participation at the five-day camp. This camp will build on the previous successful swimming camps hosted by Africa Aquatics over the last two years. The intention of the camp is to begin a journey for our athletes to become medal winners on the Continental and International stage.
The camp will also allow for coaches to interact with each other and share best practices in preparing athletes for major competitions.
The newly elected President of Africa Aquatics, Dr Mohamed Diop, expressed is excitement at the opportunity being created for African swimmers. “I look forward to seeing this group of swimmers at major international and continental events winning medals in the future.”
