PORT LOUIS, Mauritius – June 5, 2026 – On the sidelines of the Africa Aquatics and Zone 4 Open Water Swimming Championships (June 6–7), Africa Aquatics held a high-level meeting with the Mauritius Ministry of Youth and Sport and the President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC). African and Southern African Open Water Swimming Championships Kick Off in Mauritius

PORT LOUIS, Mauritius – June 5, 2026 – The Indian Ocean island nation of Mauritius is hosting the Africa Aquatics and Zone 4 Open Water Swimming Championships from June 6–7, 2026, welcoming more than 100 of the continent’s top open water swimmers. A total of 14 countries are represented at the championships, with 102 swimmers (44 women and 58 men) competing across individual and relay events.
