Amiens, France – December 21, 2024 – Matthieu Ousmane Seye equaled the Senegalese national record in the 50m Butterfly at the 16th Meeting des Hortillons (50m pool) in Amiens, France.
On the first day of competition (December 20, 2024), Seye clocked a time of 24.50 seconds in the semi-final of the 50m Butterfly, matching the national record previously set by Steven Kilian Aimable at the African Championships in Tunis on August 21, 2022.
Seye subsequently qualified for the final of the event, where he secured the bronze medal with a time of 24.52 seconds.
